Frost Mage in WoW Forever

Frost is the smoothest way to level a mage. chills and procs , which feeds (200% damage on frozen targets). Frost Blast (level 24) is a 1.5 sec Frost nuke with a 40% slow that uses your talents. and slows are weaker, so big AoE pulls are risky.

Rotation
Short- as your main spell: it chills and procs .

Recommended professions
- Tailoring (good soulbound cloth from about level 10) + Enchanting.
- Cooking, First Aid and Fishing as secondary professions. First Aid makes your healing potions now.
Recent changes
- 2026-10-28 — Hotfix (build 70685): has an 8 sec cooldown; Elemental renamed and now affects all spells.
- 2026-10-15 — October 15 patch: does 200% on frozen targets (was 300%); new spell Frost Blast at level 24.
- 2026-10-15 — October 15 patch: stacks up to 5 and boosts per stack; and can proc from Ice/; slows its first 4 targets an extra 10% for 3 more sec.
- 2026-10 — Class Deep Dive: Frostfire Bolt at 40, moved to the 21-point row (10 min cooldown), is the 16-point talent, duration reduced.
