Steps

The chain starts at level 14 and is the same for both factions, except that the first two stops are swapped. No NPC: every step is an object you click.

1. ...and that note you found. Click the Burned-Out Remains at your faction's start: Alliance, the wrecked cart at Alexston Farmstead, Westfall /way 37 50. Horde, the burnt tower south of Camp Taurajo, The Barrens /way 46 74.
2. Travel to the other faction's start spot (Alliance to The Barrens 46 74, Horde to Westfall 37 50) and click the object there.
3. Stepping Stones. Go to the abandoned camp in Stonetalon Mountains, up the trail north-east of Sun Rock Retreat, and click the Pocket Litter on a crate. Reward: a 12-slot bag, Simple Wood and Flint and Tinder. More free bags: starting bag quests by race.
4. Scramble. Jump down the cliff to the ledge north of the camp and click the Mound of Dirt, Stonetalon Mountains /way 39.6 49.8. A bad jump drops you into the ravine.
5. Wet Job. Go to Stonewrought Dam, Loch Modan /way 49.4 12.9. Drop to the ledge on the Wetlands side, by the carved heads, and click the Carved Figurine.
6. Eagle's Fist. Go to Thoradin's Wall, Hillsbrad side. Climb the broken cart at 87.3 49.6, enter the room on the wall and click the hanging Messenger Bag.
7. This Must Be The Place. Click the Hastily Rolled-Up Satchel below the Messenger Bag. Reward: the Cozy Sleeping Bag.

How the bag works

• Use it to unroll the bag, then stay in it: each minute gives +1% XP, up to 3 stacks (+3%) after 3 minutes.
• Lying in the bag counts as a rested area, like an inn: log out in it.
• Cooldown: 1 hour. Take all 3 stacks before you leave the bag.
• Party members can use your bag too.
• Stacks with the +5% cooked-food XP buff and camping buffs.
• Placing the bag is interrupted by damage and does not work in combat.

Good to know

• Set your hearthstone first: Orgrimmar or Undercity for the Horde, Stormwind or Ironforge for the Alliance. Grab flight points on the way.
• Alliance to The Barrens: Duskwood, Stranglethorn, then the Booty Bay boat to Ratchet.
• Horde to Westfall: zeppelin from Orgrimmar to Grom'gol, then swim north along the coast.
• The Horde trip to the Loch Modan dam is the longest leg, past level-30 dwarf guards: group up or go off-peak.
• Under level 30, skip the Badlands flight path: go Wetlands, Arathi Highlands, then Thoradin's Wall.
• Beta data: buff duration and cast time still differ between sources. We will confirm them in game at launch.
