How to win

Hold as many of the four control points as you can; grab the central flag and run it to a point your team controls for bonus points.

First team to 2,000 points (Blizzard, Oct 7).

Rewards

  • Darkspear Raiders (H) / Theramore Expeditionary Force (A). Gained from BG quests and mark turn-ins. Amount per win/quest: unknown.

Honor and rank per match: amounts not published yet.

Tips

  • Hold two points safely before pushing a third; don't spread defenders thin.
  • Leave real defenders at each point and rotate early when one is attacked.
  • Escort the flag carrier instead of sending them alone; avoid water crossings with the flag.
  • Don't trade several bases for one flag fight; never let an enemy flag run go unopposed.
  • Spend marks before you hit the 20-mark cap.

The battleground's map as the game draws it. What to know about each place:

  • Islands off the coast of Dustwallow Marsh.
  • Four control points: Shipwreck Cove (north-west, ~41.5, 43.4), Abandoned Tower (north-east, ~61.6, 45.2), Camp (south-west, ~42.1, 62.4), Ruins (south-east, ~61.3, 62.1).
  • The Darkspear flag spawns in the middle (~51.1, 52.4).
  • More points held = faster score, and a flag capture is worth more the more points you hold.
  • Flag carrier moves at 85% speed.
  • Shipwreck Cove point was moved to its correct spot in the Oct 8 beta build.
