Where is the Scarlet Monastery Library entrance in WoW Forever?

In the north-east of Tirisfal Glades. The Library is an open portal on the far right of the Scarlet Monastery hall (around 85.4, 32.5, one source). No key needed.

What level should you be for the Library?

Most sources say 33-41; one relays 29-39. Entry from level 20, Group Finder from level 30. The beta stopped at level 30, so we confirm the range at launch.

From Doan's Strongbox, after Arcanist Doan, the Library's last boss. It opens the Armory and the Cathedral. In Classic, every member of the group can loot one (to verify).

Classic data — updated at Forever's launch

The Scarlet Monastery Library is not playable in the beta (level cap 30). The description below comes from pre-launch data (game files and guides) and the original game's version of this dungeon; we check each point in game at launch and update this page.

Who it's for

Both factions: Alliance and Horde each have their own book quests here.
Anyone going to the Armory or the Cathedral: the Scarlet Key drops here.
Groups of 5.

The route, in plain words

Houndmaster Loksey, in a side room with three elite hounds.
Arcanist Doan, the last boss.
Doan's Strongbox, after Doan: it holds the Scarlet Key.

The bosses in one line each

Houndmaster Loksey: comes with three elite Scarlet Tracking Hounds. Control one hound and kill the hounds first. Battle Shout, and Bloodlust at low health (dispel it).
Arcanist Doan: Arcane Explosion, Silence and Polymorph. Around half health he shields himself, then casts Detonation: break line of sight behind pillars or walls.

Quests to grab before you go

Take these before entering, or you'll run it twice:

Ironforge (Alliance): Mythology of the Titans (Librarian Mae Paledust), for a book in the Library.
Alliance, new in Forever: Past Due, for The Lost Magic of the Runemasters from Doan. One source names Magus Olvek in Dalaran as the giver; others list no giver: to verify.
Thunder Bluff (Horde, not Undead): Compendium of the Fallen (Sage Truthseeker). Sources disagree on the rewards.
Undercity (Horde): Test of Lore (Parqual Fintallas), a long chain.
Mages (both factions): Rituals of Power (Magus Tirth). Sources disagree on where he stands (Shimmering Flats or Thousand Needles).
Across the wings: Into the Scarlet Monastery (Horde, Varimathras, Undercity) and In the Name of the Light (Alliance, Raleigh the Devout, Southshore) ask you to kill Loksey here, then Herod, Mograine and Whitemane; they are finished in the Armory and the Cathedral. One source says Into the Scarlet Monastery shows no rewards in Forever (known issue).
Undercity (Horde): Hearts of Zeal (Faranell), done in any wing.

Watch out

Doan's Detonation: a 5-second cast with a 30-yard reach. Get behind a pillar or a wall.
Loksey's Bloodlust at low health: dispel it.
Item changes: one source says Loksey's Training Stick, the Illusionary Rod, the Hypnotic Blade and the Robe of Doan all got new stats in Forever.
Not tested in the beta: this wing's numbers come from data mining and press, not play.
Experience: dungeon quest bonus experience was halved on Oct 1; kill experience was raised by about 20% on Oct 8 (one source).
