When you can ride

You learn to ride at level 40 (+60% speed) and get faster at level 60 (+100% speed). There are no flying mounts in WoW Forever.

The beta stops at level 30, so nobody has trained riding in WoW Forever yet. Everything on this page comes from developer interviews relayed by fan sites, guides and the beta game files. Each line shows how sure we are. We will check it in game during launch week.

Most of the gold goes into the training, not the mount.

One source says riding is a single skill learned from your own race's trainer; two others say each race (and the Skyborne) has its own riding. We will confirm at level 40.

How much gold to save

WoW Forever puts most of the cost in the training, not the mount: about 100 gold at level 40 and 1,000 gold at level 60. One guide gives 80 and 900 gold; we show both until we can check.

Is the first mount included? Sources disagree. Keep 120 gold at level 40 to be safe.

Being Honored with your home faction takes about 10% off, according to one source.

"A thousand gold at 60, friend. Start a savings jar at 30. Goblins start at birth."

Riding trainers and mount vendors

Your trainer stands next to your race's mount vendor. Type the coordinates with /way if you use a waypoint addon (TomTom is on our list of WoW Forever addons that work).
