Invite-A-Friend — Bring a Friend for Free on Launch Week

At a glance

• Who gets codes: buyers of an upgrade pack. Skyborne Heroic Pack: 1 code. Skyborne Epic Pack or Warcraft Forever Collection: 3 codes. Announced by Blizzard
• Delivery: by email, from October 20. Check your spam folder. Announced by Blizzard
• What your friend gets: WoW: Forever from November 4 to November 11, 2026, with no subscription or game time. Announced by Blizzard
• Not included: gift purchases don't come with codes. The Skyborne race and its starting island are not part of the free week, according to one guide.
• Compare the packs on WoW Forever editions.

Before November 4

1. Same ruleset. You can only group with players on the same ruleset. Decide together: pick your ruleset.
2. Same faction. No groups across factions.
3. Same region. You only meet players from your own region.
4. Know your friend's full name. Names have two parts: you invite with /invite Firstname Secondname.
5. Group before you travel together, or layers can split you.

Good to know

• Blizzard has not said what happens to your friend's character after November 11. A subscription is the usual way to keep playing.

"A week is enough to learn three things, friend: where the gold is, who has it, and how to get it."
