Item discovery

Items identified

64 %

11,486 / 17,922 equippable items have known stats

Game files, build 1.60.1.70450 · revealed items up to 16 Oct 2026

How we count identified items

Blizzard hides the stats of many WoW Forever items until a player loots them for the first time. We count every equippable item in the game files and check which ones have known stats.

  • In the game files from the start: 6,794stats readable in the beta client
  • Revealed by Blizzard since the beta started: 4,692stats sent by the game servers after players found them
  • Still hidden: 6,436in the files, stats not revealed yet

Identified: 11,486 of 17,922 (64%)

Game files, build 1.60.1.70450 · revealed items up to 16 Oct 2026

What we don't count

shirts, tabards, bags, and 994 test or placeholder entries (names with Deprecated, OLD, Test, [PH], or "Monster -" weapons used by NPCs).

Why other sites show a different percentage

Some sites count only the items that were hidden at the start, so the items readable from day one are left out. Their revealed count and ours should be close; the total is what differs.

Every looted chest pays the tax collector a little info. I keep the ledger.

Updated with each new build. By slot, by dungeon and "+N this week": coming with the daily item sync.
